What it is:
Membership in the Alliance For Realistic Energy Solutions (AFRES) is for companies and organizations who are concerned about future energy extraction, production, and consumption. AFRES has two key goals:

1. Raise both the quantity and the quality of the energy discussion.

2. Produce and disseminate research describing practical, realistic energy solutions that individuals and organizations can implement.

Members of AFRES support an informed public who understand that significant changes are coming in energy production and consumption. Members come from a range of industries and groups and agree that since there are many components to the Energy Predicament we face, action will be needed on many fronts. Finally, members are concerned that in view of the potential severity of the Energy Predicament and the long time frames required to implement any mitigation plans, the public needs to be educated and involved in the energy debate now.
